At least, that’s what one of my beta-readers likes to tell me.
Another one is more succinct: “Fuck you. Fuck this book. Go away, I’m reading.”
I’ve got nearly less than a month to go before release date. EARCs have been sent to reviewers, and some reviews have come in, but I may have bungled this one up by not having it ready for readers a lot sooner (and being evil and making them read the whole series at once–yes, I know. I’m sorry, guys). I don’t like rushing people either, so I’m just going to chalk this up to author stupidity a learning experience.
That said, my quest for bloggers/reviewers has received an overwhelmingly positive response, to which I’m grateful. A little over two years after my first published novel, and I’m starting to feel like an author now. The diarrhea butterflies in my stomach have set in.
My mysterious artiste has been throwing herself at the cover of Sapphire’s Flight. I don’t rush her; she is ready when she is ready. I throw a few ideas at her (she’s read the entire series by this point) and she comes up with her own, then I go away and leave her alone. Later, she’ll surprise me with a cover.
She’s like my Santa Claus.
She’s also been hard at work in making the hardcover/paperback covers for Aina’s Breath.
It’s mesmerizing.
So anyway, less than a month to go, and I’m probably going to have deals or giveaways to announce soon. I have a mailing list, if you want updates:
So add these books to your to-be-read list, and let the strangling begin!
Jaeth’s Eye is out. Add it (and the sequels!) to your TBR!
